In a market increasingly aware of responsible and transparent investments, the demand for traceable gold has surged. Argor-Heraeus’ new product lines address this need by offering gold sourced from accredited ASM mines (Small Craft) or selected professional mining partners (Origin Traced), each with a documented traceability system.
State-of-the-art technologies and processes are applied to ensure full and robust traceability of the gold through all production steps from the mine of origin up to the final gold product. The traceability system combines physical and digital solutions. A distributed ledger technology provides a full provenance record that customers can easily access online to view the origin of their gold.
The Small Craft product line sources gold from Artisanal and Small-scale Mining (ASM) operations accredited under recognized ASM-focused certification programs. ASM plays a pivotal role in the mining industry, providing livelihoods for 150 million people and contributing significantly to the global supply of minerals and precious metals.
A portion of this product’s price premium supports participating small-scale mining operations, including initiatives to improve mining practices and community programs. Small Craft gold is available as 1 g minted bar, 1 kg cast bar, grain, and standard Good Delivery bar.
The Origin Traced line introduces traceable gold from a panel of selected professional mining partners.This product line offers gold sourced from mining partners selected against defined environmental and governance criteria. Origin Traced gold is accompanied by a documented chain-of-custody record covering each stage of production.
