Music and Inclusion: a successful second edition of “Together Sounds Better”

The final event of the second edition of “Together Sounds Better” took place on Saturday, May 17 at LaFilanda in Mendrisio. The inclusive music project is promoted by Argor-Heraeus in collaboration with the Music School of the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana and the Fondazione Provvida Madre. It was a moment of celebration and togetherness, where the users of Provvida Madre performed alongside the violin and cello ensemble from the classes of Anna Francesio Quirici and Claude Hauri of the Music School, with the participation of teachers Eliseo Perretta (accordion) and Nicola Tallone (cello).

The performance, held in the presence of local authorities, institutional representatives, and families, marked the culmination of a musical journey that began last year. This year’s program included 21 sessions held at the institute in Balerna. The project, designed specifically for around twenty adult and minor users, was led by Luciano Zampar, teacher at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, and made possible thanks to the active involvement of the staff of Provvida Madre. The goal: to empower each participant through music, encouraging personal expression, growth, and shared relationships.

“Together Sounds Better” stems from Argor-Heraeus’s commitment to its local community and once again stands out as a virtuous example of collaboration between businesses, educational institutions, and social organizations. The event was also made possible thanks to the support of the City of Mendrisio, which contributed to its organization.
